St Peter's Catholic Church, Lytham
Welcome to St Peter's, Lytham
St Peter’s Catholic Church, Lytham is situated on Clifton Street. The Catholic faith in Lytham is steeped in a rich history, dating back to 1190 when a small Benedictine cell was founded in the grounds of the present Lytham Hall. It was in 1829 when the Catholic Emancipation Act created the climate which allowed Father Walmsley to build the present Church. The ensuing years have seen 8 parish priests, a large number of curates and assistant priests, 3 permanent deacons and two congregations of religious sisters working to support the Catholics of Lytham.
St Peter’s Catholic Church is a happy, vibrant parish and we look forward to welcoming you.
